We believe that we have a responsibility to adapt and meet the needs of every single member of our school community. Our unique curriculum has its foundations in the English National Curriculum and is carefully adapted to be highly engaging and relevant, providing the skills, knowledge and experiences children and young adults need in an ever-changing world. Our highly qualified, caring and dedicated teachers develop learning experiences to develop curiosity, confidence and creativity to succeed, and make a positive impact on their local and global community.
We are a proudly diverse and inclusive community, serving all members of our local community from pre-school through to 18 years old. Each phase of the school is led by a team of highly qualified and experienced international teachers whose goal is the happiness, safety and success of each child in our care. From our nurturing playgroup provision; with our children seamlessly transitioning into the Early Years Foundation stage with tailored support from our dedicated and caring Early Years Team. Our wonderful Primary education team continue the development of core academic and transferable skills, knowledge and social and emotional development through Year 1 to Year 6, and our Secondary team, helping each student to navigate not only strong academic development and excellence as they prepare for life beyond school, but also supporting their holistic wellbeing on their journey to becoming young adults through Year 7 to Year 13. As a proudly inclusive school, we strive to meet the needs of all children and our partnership with International Schools Partnership (ISP) provides students with unique and once in a lifetime experiences. Along with our carefully crafted learning experiences and environment, we provide our children with the opportunity to learn alongside, and to learn from, children from over 30 nations across the world.
Our Learning.First.™ methodology provides each of our children and young adults personalised and student centred education, where they work alongside their teachers to continually reflect and improve their learning. This process allows our children to become passionate, thoughtful and fully informed learners, and leads to consistently high levels of progress and outcomes in externally assessed examinations, with TPIS students receiving numerous awards for regional and global excellence at IGCSE and A Level. As well as academic achievement and student wellbeing, we focus upon developing our children as multi-lingual learners, so that they can foster a deeper understanding of other cultures, build empathy whilst also increasing cognitive skills such as problem solving, adaptability and perception. Our extensive co-curricular programme provides opportunities for students to develop existing skills and interests and seek out new passions. With over 40 different opportunities including STEM programmes, Sports, Music, Drama and Creative and Culinary arts, through to our accredited programmes with LAMDA (The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) and DofE IA (Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award), there is always an opportunity for our children to enhance and expand their learning experiences at TPIS.
As a proud member of the International Schools Partnership, our school continually works to evolve and improve to better support the needs of our children, young adults and wider community. We ensure that the offer we provide is of the highest possible standards, and we are accredited by the Education Development Trust (EDT) through the International School Quality Mark, meaning that we can ensure our children get the very best educational experiences in an environment that truly places our children and young adults at the heart of everything we do.
As well as being the proud Head of School at TPIS, I am also a proud parent of two children at TPIS, so I am personally invested in the continued success of every aspect of the school, and want to ensure that the experiences for our children continue to exceed theirs and your expectations. Also, we focus on refining and improving our connections and communications as we continue to grow to meet the needs and expectations of all. Everyone at TPIS is committed to listening, learning and enhancing the experiences for our entire community, so that we can continue to grow stronger, together, over the coming years.
We would be delighted to welcome you to our school campus to meet with myself, our leadership team and teachers, so that we can learn more about you and we support you to learn more about the experiences at TPIS for all our children and community. We look forward to welcoming you soon.
Mr Chris Parfitt
