Thai Teacher

Job Opportunity : Thai teacher

We are now looking for a person who can become part of our school team in overseeing Thai language, culture and history to help deliver the curriculum at EYFS, Primary and secondary with the ability to teach a range of Thai to both first-language, additional language learners and complete beginners, as well as Literature to examination level. Candidates should bring innovation, flexibility, passion and a love of Thai to an already thriving department.

Qualifications and Skills and Job Purpose:

  • Bachelor degree in Education or equivalent and must have Thai teaching license.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Thai. 
  • TOEIC score of more than 500 is preferred.
  • Be able to apply a wide variety of technology in the workplace.
  • Strong experience in similar organisations.
  • Have an up-to-date knowledge of the latest International based curriculum trends and practices.
  • Inspirational Thai teaching that delivers high standards of learning creating articulate, confident and kind students.
  • There is a high standard of display work in the classroom, which is changed frequently.
  • Be able to use  data to inform on appropriate teaching strategies, be aligned to school policies and systems of work and able to communicate with parents regarding student progress 
  • Organise and plan celebrations of Thai culture such as Thai New Year, International Day and trips.
  • Ensure that all children in the class make good progress and achieve their full potential.
  • Be engaged with the children so that they find learning an enjoyable and challenging experience.
  • Develop the attributes of the school’s learner profile through Thai teaching.
  • Support the ethos, aims and policies of the school by being a good professional role model in the classroom and in their relationships with colleagues and parents.

Job Opportunity : Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant

We are now looking for the person who can supervise, support and keep the children in our care safe. The successful candidate will report to and work with the classroom teacher and the Head of Primary. Responsible for assisting classroom teachers with the general supervision and management of children, developing resources and monitoring pupil progress.

Qualifications and Skills and Job Purpose:

  • A Bachelor degree in Education or equivalent and having a Thai teaching license is preferred.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Thai. 
  • TOEIC score of more than 500 is preferred.
  • Be able to apply a wide variety of technology in the workplace
  • Assist in the educational and social development of pupils, particularly second language learners, under the direction and guidance of the class teachers. 
  • Work alongside children making sure that they are well cared for and supported in and out of the classroom, including playground supervision before and after school.
  • Contributing to the school’s extensive co-curricular programme through leading activities.
  • Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities.
  • Assist class teachers with maintaining student records.
  • Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
  • Take initiative inside and outside of the classroom. This requires a teaching assistant to be constantly vigilant and aware of the needs of the students as they arise or even before e.g. There is a child in the maths lesson that is struggling to grasp the concept being taught, the TA could get some resources available in the classroom to remind them of a previous strategy they have used for this. This could be done very quietly whilst the teacher continues with the lesson.
