Part of the curriculum and co-curricular activity
At one of the best international schools in Thailand, students have rich opportunities to explore and share their musical talents through a variety of ensembles. Two school bands, alongside dedicated Ukulele and Violin clubs, nurture instrumental skills, ensemble playing and musical discipline in a supportive setting.
At our private school in Thailand, our choir performs regularly at school events and graduation ceremonies, giving singers valuable experience of singing in harmony and performing for an audience. In previous years, students have also taken part in the regional ‘Big Sing’ festival, most recently joining the event online, connecting our young musicians with a wider community of performers beyond the school.
At Tara Pattana International School, drama is a vibrant, collaborative space where students explore acting, storytelling and stagecraft as they work towards our annual November productions. Through regular rehearsals and performance projects, they build confidence, develop strong characterisation and sharpen their communication and teamwork skills.
By taking part in the full process of staging a show for a live audience, students gain authentic theatre experience and the satisfaction of seeing their hard work come to life on stage.
Co-curricular activity
At our private school in Thailand, students step into the spotlight in Musical Theatre Club, a vibrant and supportive space where singing, acting and movement come together. Through rehearsals and performance, they build vocal strength, stage presence, creativity and teamwork, gaining the confidence to command the stage and communicate with impact. With regular opportunities to perform in shows and school events, students grow not only as versatile performers, but also as self-assured communicators in every aspect of school life and beyond.
At our international school in Pattaya, students build hands-on experience of turning ideas into real ventures that support charities and school projects. Through planning and running short-term businesses, participants develop teamwork, leadership, budgeting, marketing and problem-solving skills, while gaining a clear understanding of how money is made, managed and reinvested.
It's a practical, creative space that builds confidence, responsibility and genuine real-world business awareness.
At Tara Pattana International School, Film Club immerses students in the full creative process of media production, from planning and shooting to editing short films, podcasts and documentary-style projects. Often collaborating with the wider school community and capturing real events such as the Great Chinese Zodiac Bake Off, students develop skills in storytelling, camera work, interviewing, editing and teamwork.
This hands-on experience strengthens confidence, grows technical ability and provides authentic insight into real-world film and media production.
This dynamic, hands-on creative space is where students design and construct props, set pieces and posters for school performances and events. Through this behind-the-scenes work, they develop practical art and design skills, craftsmanship, problem-solving and teamwork, playing a vital role in bringing each production to life.
Ideal for those who love making, painting and building, the club offers the satisfaction of seeing their creations showcased on stage and celebrated by the school community.
LAMDA & Oracy Club empowers students to become confident, compelling communicators through focused work on speaking, performance and presentation. While preparing for London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art exams or simply strengthening everyday oracy, students refine articulation, expression, public speaking and interpretation.
Across rehearsals, performances and targeted coaching, they learn to speak with clarity, presence and impact, skills that support success in school, further study and future careers.
Led by a World Championship medallist and Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame inductee, Baton Club offers students the chance to learn from an elite coach every term. Through playful drills, spins, tosses and team games, participants build coordination, timing and focus in a relaxed, no‑performance environment.
This supportive setting encourages creativity, perseverance and a genuine enjoyment of movement‑based challenges, allowing every student to grow in confidence at their own pace.
At our international school in Pattaya, dance is a dynamic way for students to express creativity, celebrate culture and build confidence through movement. Across the year, a range of clubs invite dancers to explore different styles, from the energy of Hip Hop and the precision of Ballet to the school’s talented Thai dance team, which performs at cultural events. Recent highlights include a vibrant Chinese fan dance for Lunar New Year, showcasing both skill and cultural appreciation.
Through dance students develop rhythm, coordination, teamwork and stage presence as they learn new steps, perform together and take pride in their achievements on stage.
At Tara Pattana International School, students progress towards LAMDA, IGCSE and A Level qualifications, gaining transferable skills and recognised credits that open doors to universities and artistic pathways around the world.

This creative foundation opens doors to future study and careers in areas such as design, architecture, animation, fashion, media and advertising.

They analyse real media texts and audiences while creating their own productions, developing advanced skills in research, production, evaluation and communication. Assessed through a mix of coursework portfolios and written examinations, the course builds a strong foundation for futures in film, journalism, marketing, advertising and digital media.
A Level Art & Design
At our Sixth Form in Thailand, students think creatively, experiment boldly and express ideas with confidence. Through drawing, painting, mixed media, photography and digital art, they build a sophisticated portfolio supported by research and critical artist analysis. From Year 5 onwards, students can take to the stage in the annual whole‑school production each late November, typically a musical that brings together Tara Pattana’s diverse community. Much loved by parents, last year’s record‑breaking Oliver Twist featured 48 student performers. This year at Tara Pattana International School, the Arts Department aims to go even further, unveiling the school’s first official MTI show – proudly and completely self‑funded – and inspiring even more students to get involved in the performing arts.

A School That Inspires
School life at TPIS values creativity, community, and student voice. I’m able to bring drama and performance into learning, helping students grow in confidence and express themselves. Seeing children support one another and shine during performances makes this a truly rewarding place to work.

Drama
Being in Drama Club, I get to know myself better. Whenever I perform, I feel very confident and happy singing, acting, dancing and playing my bass. It makes me feel excited and bashful sometimes. I love performing because I know I have a good teacher.
