At our international school in Thailand, students stretch themselves through the Cambridge International Project Qualification (IPQ), a rigorous, project‑based course where they design and complete a 5,000‑word research project on a topic of their choice. Guided by a teacher, but leading the process themselves, they craft a research question, review academic literature, select and apply research methods, keep a research log and present their findings using formal academic conventions.
Along the way, they build advanced skills in analysis, evaluation, synthesis, research, reflection and communication. The final project is externally assessed by Cambridge examiners and graded to A Level standard, giving students powerful evidence of independence and academic depth for university and job applications.

In our Sixth Form at Tara Pattana, all learners work towards full English fluency, developing advanced literacy, communication and analytical skills, with daily targeted ELLS support available where needed. Alongside this, students continue to study Thai Language & Culture through both examinable and non‑examinable pathways, reflecting our Thai context and international outlook.
While there is no formal additional language programme in Sixth Form, we support students on an individual basis if they wish to pursue an A Level qualification in another language, ensuring their multilingual strengths are recognised and celebrated.
Students move from simply taking part in competitions including Kangaroo Maths, Senior Maths Challenges, Science Fairs, STEAM Days and Model United Nations to helping lead teams, organise events and mentor younger peers — showcasing global awareness, diplomacy and high‑level thinking. Real‑world learning accelerates through more complex Business and Travel & Tourism visits, advanced Geography fieldwork and student‑driven service projects such as beach clean‑ups and Helmet Heroes campaigns.
As part of ISP, Sixth Formers also step into international roles within International Learning Opportunities for Students (ILOS) and regional sports competitions, collaborating across borders and evidencing the confidence, initiative and professionalism expected by top universities and employers.
Students continue to benefit from personalised future‑pathways support from the very start of Secondary through to university admission.
