Sixth Form

At Tara Pattana International School, students aged 16 – 18 become independent scholars, pursuing international A Levels that demand deep subject knowledge and advanced thinking skills. They take ownership of clear future pathways towards global higher education, while the wider Sixth Form programme supports them in growing leadership, life skills and university readiness.

At our British curriculum school in Thailand, sixth formers typically study three A Levels and can further challenge themselves with the Cambridge International Project Qualification (IPQ). With small class sizes and highly specialised teachers, they receive personalised guidance and gain the depth, independence and academic profile needed for entry to prestigious universities worldwide.

Cambridge Independent Project Qualification (IPQ)

At our international school in Thailand, students stretch themselves through the Cambridge International Project Qualification (IPQ), a rigorous, project‑based course where they design and complete a 5,000‑word research project on a topic of their choice. Guided by a teacher, but leading the process themselves, they craft a research question, review academic literature, select and apply research methods, keep a research log and present their findings using formal academic conventions.

Along the way, they build advanced skills in analysis, evaluation, synthesis, research, reflection and communication. The final project is externally assessed by Cambridge examiners and graded to A Level standard, giving students powerful evidence of independence and academic depth for university and job applications.

Peter Class of 2022

After over a decade at Tara, it felt like an extension of my home. The teachers, staff, and students became family, creating memories I still cherish and miss. I wouldn't have wanted to spend that time anywhere else. Thank you for making me who I am today.

Recently, I've felt that TPIS has developed to become a more supportive, welcoming and inclusive environment. And with that, I've had space to grow and learn to become a confident leader. I've had many opportunities to lead and inspire, such as during classes, events and being a head student.
