At Tara Pattana International School, children enjoy balanced, relaxed meals and healthy snacks that support their growth, learning and wellbeing, with fresh fruit, vegetables and nourishing drinks available throughout the day. Menus are carefully planned to respect food allergies and age-related safety guidelines, while creating a relaxed, sociable atmosphere at meal times that encourages positive attitudes to food and healthy habits for life.

At our international school in Pattaya, every child enjoys balanced, unhurried meals that support healthy habits and social interaction.

  • Tasty and healthy meals

    Tasty and healthy meals

Fresh fruit and vegetables are served as morning and afternoon snacks and are also available at lunch. Our lunch break is offered family style with staff eating alongside students and engaging them in conversation. Children are encouraged, but never forced, to try a variety of foods, and no meal is withheld unless there is a written medical instruction.

  • Attention for young children

    Attention for young children

For children under four, we take extra care to reduce the risk of choking at meal and snack times. Young children are not served high‑risk foods such as hot dogs, grapes, cherry tomatoes, nuts, popcorn, raw peas, hard pretzels, peanut butter, chunks of raw carrots or meat that are larger than can be swallowed whole.

  • Food allergies

    Food allergies

Canteen staff factor known allergies into daily menu planning. To help keep all students safe, families are asked not to send snacks or other food from home and not to give food to children on the playground at the end of the school day. The only exception is milk or yoghurt drinks, which may be brought to school but should not be shared with other children.

  • Drinks

    Drinks

Water dispensers are available on every floor of the main buildings, in the canteen and by the swimming pool, and are fitted with taps suitable for filling refillable bottles. Students are expected to bring their own water bottle; school-branded bottles are also available from the school shop. Given the local climate, learners are encouraged to drink regularly, and all PE lessons include at least one water break. Dairy and soya milk are served at snack times.

  • Snacks

    Snacks

During break times, students can choose from a range of healthy snacks provided by the canteen. Daily options include seasonal fresh fruit, cereals, milk and vegetable salads, offering nutritious choices for all age groups. If a student brings a snack from home, it will be kept in their school bag until they are collected at the end of the day, supporting a consistent approach to food in school.
